Paul Leonardi’s research, teaching, and consulting focus on helping companies create more effective culture, teamwork, and retention strategies.
He is the Duca Family Professor of Technology Management at UC Santa Barbara and is the author of “The Digital Mindset: What It Really Takes to Thrive in the Age of Data, Algorithms, and AI.” Paul has authored more than 100 articles in top academic journals on a range of topics including network science, communications, and organizations. He also publishes his work for managers and executives in outlets such as Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review and is the author of three other books on technological innovation and organizational change, including the award-winning, Car Crashes Without Cars and Technology Choices.
Over the past decade, he has consulted regularly with companies, including Google, Microsoft, General Motors, Cisco, and YouTube. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from the Center for Work, Technology, and Organization at Stanford University.
